Important news concerning the website for the Tolkien Track

Posted by Mir - January 18th, 2012

The website will be going down in the next month due to the end of service for the domain name.  We are going to let it expire due to the site being moved to Dragon Con webspace.  Once this is done and we have the site back up and running,  I will post again.  For the time being, please, watch the facebook page for any news and updates.

This just in – It is very possible we could be adding yet another quest to our list for this year’s Tolkien Track! Sylvester McCoy has just been added to the guest list for Dragon*Con 2011!! For those of you who are unaware of him, he has been filming in New Zealand for the upcoming Hobbit movies in the role of Radagast! He is also very well known for playing one of many Doctors in the Doctor Who series. We are working on getting in a panel with him at this very moment! So stay tuned and we will keep you updated!

We are hard at work on the finishing touches of the track with 2 weeks left til con!

We have brought new stuff to the track this year, including a look at the new LOTR game “War in The North” from WB Games and Snow Blind Studios, slated for November 1st on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
And we have also added LOTR console gaming to our game night – We will have an Xbox 360 set up with “Return of The King: The Movie Game”, A Playstation 3 set up with “Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest” , as well as a Gamecube with “Lord of the Rings: The Third Age” so you can get your interactive game fix.
We have also brought back our kid panel “A Time for Hobbits”.

Also our site is growing with new content like a Podcast and a YouTube page we will use to fill you with updates!

2011 is a big year for Tolkien Track , with a behind the scenes look at The Hobbit movies & Ralph Bashki taking us back in time to remember the old animated movies. We look forward to making this an amazing time for you guys, and a reason to stay in love with the Shire.

See ya in (less than)2 weeks – Chris
